Pasifika Sanitary Products History and Products
Founded on the belief that Pacific families deserve products that truly understand their needs, Pasifika Sanitary Products aims to fill a significant gap in the market.

Jimmy Chand, founder of the Pasifika brand.
Jimmy Chand, the founder of the Pasifika brand, grew up in Fiji and New Zealand and now resides in Australia. As a father of three daughters, he understands firsthand the challenges Pacific families face when it comes to sanitary products.
“The story behind Pasifika Sanitary Products and all other brands in it is we all know, in the Pacific there’s no real product created for our people we were generically importing from the big brands,” Chand said.
He explained that his experience and understanding of Pacific culture inspired him to create products that truly meet the needs of Pacific people.
For years, Pacific consumers have relied on international brands for baby, adult, and feminine hygiene products.
While these brands are widely available, they are not designed with Pacific lifestyles, climate, family structures, or cultural values in mind.

According to Chand the company works with 12 different businesses across three countries, focusing on affordability and absorption technology like superabsorbent polymers (SAPs), which can retain 500 times their weight in liquids.
“The goal for Pasifika is not to compete with big international brands but to make reliable, affordable products available for Pacific markets,” Chand said.
Their product range includes the Pasifika Rose line of premium baby diapers, designed for comfort, durability, and superior absorbency, especially suited for the warm and humid conditions of the Pacific.
The range also features Pasifika Rose adult care pants, providing comfort and support for elders and those needing daily assistance.
In addition, the Pasifika Lua Bloom range offers feminine hygiene products crafted specifically for Pacific women, providing reliable and affordable sanitary care solutions.
Samoa is among one of the first Pacific nations to receive Pasifika Sanitary Products.
