Swire Shipping former employees face theft charges

Apia, SAMOA – 23 April 2026: Two former employees of the Swire Shipping Company are accused of stealing $330,000 from the company within 6 months last year. Both are charged with theft as servants and forgery.
The accused are Solialofi Paulo and Falanika Meko of Safotu.
They have not entered any pleas as police are yet to finalise the charges.
Both are released at liberty on conditions that they surrender all travel documents and report to the police office once a week.
The matter is adjourned for two weeks.
