About the Facility:
The Samoa Tautua Human Development for All Facility (formerly known as the Human Development and Social Inclusion facility – HDSI) intends to deliver Australia’s commitments in the latter phase of the Samoa COVID-19 Development Response Plan (2020-22) (CRP) and then help build the human development foundations required for Samoa’s health security, economic recovery, and continued stability thereafter.The Facility will focus on five Pillars: Education, Health, Gender, Disability, and Social Protection.

About the Role:

  • The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the design, planning and implementation of all GEDSI and safeguarding related activities under the Tautua Facility; this includes all existing activities under the novated Samoa Gender Partnerships Facility (SGPP).
  • The GEDSI and Safeguarding Technical Lead will work as part of a broader technical team to influence the design of well targeted GEDSI support and initiatives across the health, education, and community sectors.
  • This role will be the main focal point between the Tautua team and the Ministry of Women, Community and Social Development (MWCSD).

Required Qualifications:

  • Post Graduate qualification in business, leadership and management development, sociology, anthropology, education and training, human resources, international development, economics, and other relevant fields.
  • GEDSI specific courses or further related areas of study.
