We are seeking an experienced Accountant to lead and support our Finance Team and can offer a competitive salary of between WS$70,000 – WS$90,000 commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completion of monthly accounts and journals
  • Preparation of Monthly management reports
  • Liaise with MCR on Income tax & GST payments
  • Finalise annual accounts and liaise with auditors
  • Reconciliations, including Inter-company & other accounts
  • Monitoring cash position and balances
  • Supervising and reviewing team members’ work
  • Coaching and supporting team members

Qualification & Experience:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognised University
  • Member of the Samoa Institute of Accountants or a similar body
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar organisation
  • Experience in Xero accounting package

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer Literacy: Advanced MS Excel and MS Word
  • The ability to effectively prioritise work
  • The ability to produce accurate financial data
  • Team leadership experience
  • Honesty and integrity
