APIA, SAMOA – 16 SEPTEMBER 2022: An inspirational and successful businesswoman in Samoa was laid to rest at her home in Vailoa today. Matai’a Lynn Netzler passed away on 07 September.

Her funeral service was held at the Mulivai Cathedral and was well attended by members of the business community, members of Cabinet, families and friends to pay their respects to a woman widely known for the changes she made and inspiration for other Samoan women.

Holder of the chiefly title, Matai’a, Lynn Netzler started the well-known Lynn supermarket at Motootua which also has a gas station, two eateries, and a tourist accommodation.

An example of hard work and business sense, she started her business from scratch in the early 1970s with her late husband, Thor Netzler.

In her funeral service today, the eulogy was delivered by former Prime Minister and HRPP leader, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi.
