Further Drop in Fuel Prices for August 2023

APIA, SAMOA – 01 AUGUST 2023: Fuel prices for August have decreased further. Petrol by 6.8 sene per litre from $3.16 to $3.09 per litre, Diesel down by 5.3 sene per litre from $3.16 to $3.10 per litre and Kerosene decreases by 7.7 sene per litre from $2.79 to $2.71 per litre.

The new Retail Petroleum Products Prices were announced by the Minister of Finance, Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molio’o to apply from 1st August, 2023.

The Minister said in a statement that the base cost for the August Retail Prices reflects a relatively stable international oil market. The current key drivers of the oil prices including the war in Ukraine, the global economic forecasts and OPEC’s control of the supply, somewhat balancing each other.
