Police investigate attack on a Bangladesh man

APIA, SAMOA – 09 AUGUST 2023: Police are investigating a case where a Bangladesh man was allegedly attacked in the weekend at Vaitele.

The Bangladesh man who has been residing and working for a Chinese business at Vaitele for the past four years was walking home when he was allegedly attacked.

Police report said the man received injuries to the head and face and was treated and released from the hospital on the same day.

Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo said police are seeking information from the public regarding the incident.

“There was video footage from the shop camera of several young men in front of the shop but nothing on the actual attack,” said Auapaau.
