APIA, 23 AUGUST 2023 – Police seized 5,000 marijuana plants, marijuana seeds, unregistered firearms and arrested five suspects in one of their major raids at Faleatiu village. The street value of the seized narcotics is estimated at $250,000 talā

The Samoa Police, Prisons, and Corrections Services (SPPCS) carried out the search at the village following concerns raised by the village regarding ongoing issues involving narcotics.

Police described the search as successful and says SPPCS will continue to combat drug-related activities in Samoa, as their use can have severe medical and criminal consequences.

SPPCS encourages the public to come forward with any information about drug-related activities within the community and to inform the police office or a nearby station on telephone number #22222.
