Bus driver arrested for selling drugs

Apia, SAMOA – 17 April 2024: Police have arrested a bus driver who was caught using public transport to sell drugs.

The 30 year bus driver is from Salelavalu village and was arrested yesterday when passengers informed police at the Tuasivi office.

Police stopped the bus during one of its runs and conducted a search and confiscated marijuana and small plastic bags that police suspect as methamphetamine.

The accused has been charged with the possession of narcotics and is under police custody to await his appearance in Court.

The police have commended the support of the public in the fight against illegal drugs.
