Samoa Govt seeks information on stop order on Leiataulesa Jerry Brunt

Apia, Samoa – 11 February 2025 – The Samoan Government has requested official information from the Solomon Islands Attorney General’s Office on the circumstances surrounding the stop order preventing Leiataualesa Jerry Brunt from departing Honiara.

Through the Prime Minister’s Office, support to ensure legal representation for Leiataualesa is available while awaiting official details from Honiara.

According to the Press Secretariat, Leiataualesa was returning home after the Miss Pacific Pageant when he served as one of the five judges.

He was stopped at the airport.

The Samoan Government is awaiting information as requested.
