27 October 2025 – The new facility for the aged in Savaii moved a step forward with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in the weekend.
The MOU was signed between Archbishop Fr. Mosese Tui and the Sisters of Nazareth, who will operate the new facility.
The facility is located at the Logo-i-Pulotu complex that is owned by the Catholic church and caters to the needs of Samoa’s aging population on the island.

The project is an initiative of the former students of the Catholic run Logo-i-Pulotu College that closed over twenty years ago.
Some of the guests who attended the MOU signing included members of the St. Vincent de Paul that donated material assistance to the project and members of the Health and Fitness Group, Samoa La’ala’a such as the former member of the New Zealand Labour Cabinet, Aupito William Sio and former Cabinet Minister and founder Samoa La’ala’a, Leota Laki Sio.
